The player offers many connectivity options as well, it comes with 2x USB (back panel) for your future expansion needs like adding on a external USB harddrive.  Future upgrade option includes Wireless N support via USB dongle.

Most importantly, you can connect to your HD display panel via HDMI at up to 1080p (1920x1080) depending on your display panel capability. It also has a VGA output for you to connect to your VGA devices. If you have an audio video receiver or home theatre system, we offer 2 output options via Coaxial or Optical output for more flexibility.

Design

What set us apart from our competitors is the high quality aluminium alloy case that housed our main board. That is the reason why our player weights almost 1.5kg, at 500g more than our competitors. Talk about heavyweight! J If you owned any of the high end audio or video equipment, it is the exact material that we used. It will blend in easy with the rest of your home theatre equipment with its slick front panel that is not too dull or ugly.

The case also served as a heat-sink for the Sigma Design 8635 chip, our PCB design allow us to fully integrate the chip to the top panel of the case, which has a wide area for heat dissipation. You can rest assure that it is not scorching to the hands when you lay your hands on the player, that translate to better heat management and will definitely benefit you in the long run.

Functionality

With the ability to support today’s most demanding Hi-Def content such as MPEG2 MP@HL, H.264 HP@L4.1, VC-1 AP@L4 in TS of at least 40Mbps (depending on network connections) to give you full HD glory.  The HDX 900 has the ability to decode H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV-9, AVC-1, in various file containers like MKV, M2TS, TS, AVI, MOV, VOB, MPEG and WMV.

If you have huge collections of music, feared not the HDX 900 supports up to 24bit, 192 kHz DAC that rivals high-end CD player. Standard file support includes MP3, WMA and FLAC.

By adding a hard disk to HDX 900, you can expand the functionality of a media player to a lot more. You get a BT Torrent Client, NAS/SMB server for your network, Upnp AV server etc, all this made possible because of the NMT middleware!

And YES, there is even a hardware ON/OFF power button so you do not have to always stretch your back to unplug the power supply.
